GO LADY GATORS!

Today we went to the Super Regional softball game at UF. The Gators played California in a doubleheader on what turned out to be a hot day. Delayed by rain last night, the game was moved to 10 am followed by Game 2 at 12:30. We made it to Game 2 and squeezed ourselves into a small spot on the bleachers right behind home plate. Izzy sat on Momma's lap, Katy and Sarah alternating on Daddy's lap. I said it was a tight squeeze. The stadium was full, people even sitting on the grass by first base. Game 1 was 2-0 Gators, and Game 2 was 2-1 Gators, so they are on to the Women's College World Series. Our girls were so excited to see a "real" team, they were melting in the heat but still managed to enjoy it very much. Sarah was so thrilled to see Stacey Nelson in person, her favorite pitcher. She wanted Stacey's signature on her glove, but that was not too likely with all the pictures and things going on after the game. Maybe if they have media day when they win the National Championship! It would definitely be Sarah's pride and joy! In fact, we just got home about forty-five minutes ago and after taking Aiden for a long walk, she is back out in the yard pitching away. Her arms and right leg are sore from pitching so much in a short time. She really loves it, who knows how long it'll last, but for now she is having a grand time!
With all this talk about softball, I'm sure you want to know where the pictures are. Well, my trusty Canon elph is shot. No longer recognizes a charged battery. Waaaah. I've taken some serious pictures with that thing, I will miss it. I'm looking to expand my photography skills, though, so I will go slightly more advanced this time around. Hmmmm...any suggestions?
Speaking of pictures, though, my friend Karen (Savannah's mom) emailed me some pics of the girls last softball game. I'll post those later...
After the heat at the game, we went to Outback and drank iced tea and ate salad and steak. Mmm. And to top off the day of fun for the girls, we took them to see "Night At The Museum, Battle of the Smithsonian." Both older girls liked it, Momma and Daddy were somewhat entertained at least, and Izzy slept on Momma till about the last 15 minutes of the show. I love how 5 year olds can just be out like that, and then wide awake for no reason!
And in case you were wondering, Willie was safe at home in the capable hands of our babysitter, Jade, who had to watch Barney right after we left to stop him from crying. Later, he was spirited away by Aunt Laura, Uncle Jason, and Cousin Leifypants to pull in the traps off the dock. "Pabs!" he exclaims. That would be crabs. Lots of crabs. Eleven! More crab dinners for Laurbs and Jason. And great fun yelling "SPLASH!" for Willie!
