First Day of Kindergarten

Today was back to school for the girls, they weren't exactly thrilled. Well, that is to say, they would like summer to be a full-time event. Isabelle was so excited she could not go to sleep (until 10:30 pm Grrrr) but had a moment of overwhelming nervousness right when she was about to walk in.

All is well, her friend Riley Jo was right inside and the moment Izzy stepped in, she was totally cool. She wrote her name on a piece of paper and put in on top of her backpack cubby, I gave her a kiss, said goodbye, and off I went! I am concerned about her class size, 21 kids with one teacher and NO aide. It also looked like more boys than girls, which is ALWAYS a problem. We will see, we will see.

Birthday Stuff (Belated)

At camp, Sarah got to tie dye her new white t-shirt. I thought it came out great!

Sarah's birthday cake, Hot Fudge Pudding Cake (thanks Cooks Illustrated!). Delicious. Just don't try to do candles, they melt in the hot fudge--duh!

A couple new things for her room, giant bolster, crazy light she's been wanting, a cool orange saucer chair, and a rug.
